What areas do you service?

We are based in Tumut and service the entire Snowy Valleys region. This includes Adelong, Batlow, Talbingo, Gundagai, and surrounding rural areas. If you are unsure if you fall into our catchment area, give us a call!

Are you a local business?

Yes, absolutely. Tumut Area Plumbing Services (TAPS) was started 20 years ago by David Mullins. We are family-owned and operated, and we employ local tradesmen who live right here in the community.

Do you offer quotes?

Yes. For new installations, renovations, and large commercial projects, we can provide a quote. For general maintenance and emergency repairs, we charge standard competitive rates. Please contact us to discuss your specific needs.

Services & Capabilities

Do you handle small residential jobs?

Yes. While we work on large government projects, we never forget where we started. We are happy to help homeowners with leaking taps, running toilets, gutter repairs, and general maintenance. No job is too small.

I have a blocked drain. Do you need to dig it up?

Not necessarily. We utilize high-pressure water jetters and sewer cameras. This allows us to clear blockages and inspect the inside of the pipe to find the cause without digging. If the pipe is collapsed and does need repair, we can pinpoint the exact location to minimize excavation.

Do I need to hire a separate excavator for my job?

No. Unlike many other plumbing companies, TAPS owns its own earthmoving and excavation equipment. Whether you need a septic tank installed, absorption trenches dug, or site preparation for a shed, we can handle the plumbing and the digging in-house.

Do you do gas fitting?

Yes, we are fully licensed gas fitters. We can install new gas lines, install gas hot water systems, and fit gas appliances for both residential homes and commercial kitchens.

Are you equipped for large-scale industrial work?

Yes. We have extensive experience with Commercial and Industrial plumbing. We currently hold contracts with government bodies and National Parks, which requires us to meet strict safety, environmental, and quality standards.

Can you install Fire Systems?

Yes. Our dedicated team can fabricate and install fire systems for various applications, including industrial factories, commercial buildings, and rural properties.
